British Grand Prix support race.

One of six international F3 events, Michael started the 15 lap encounter from the fourth row of the grid his Carlin Motorsport Dallara/Honda after setting the seventh fastest time in qualifying on Friday.

In the race the Ibstock Brick/Clonakilty Black Pudding backed driver was involved in an early battle with Briton Robbie Kerr until the ADR driver suffered a fuel pump failure. This left the Irishman 6th where he would remain for the remainder of the prestigious Grand Prix support race.

Up front it was a Fortec Motorsport one-two with Finland's Heikki Kovalainen winning from Brazilian team-mate and pole starter Fabio Carbone.
