MICHAEL
FINISHES 13th ON PAU DEBUT
On
his debut in the FIA F3 European Cup Michael finished
13th in classic annual French street race.

Held
on the streets of Pau in Southern France, the Clonakilty
racer qualified 15th of the 26 car field which was made
up of teams from the French, German and Italian Championships
with Carlin Motorsport the sole British representative.
Making
up four places in the opening stages of the 36 lap race,
Michael later dropped to 13th where he finished behind
Carlin team-mate Alan Van Der Merwe while up front France's
Renaud Derlot took the victory.

While
disappointed at not finishing inside the top 10, Michael
was happy to complete the demanding event which saw
the drivers race for 3/4 of an hour in temperatures
of 36 degrees.
Afterwards
Michael said, 'It was a good experience for me to do
the race and I would really like to come back next year
and challenge for victory'.
